The LCC has been crucial in addressing Sudan’s humanitarian crisis, providing essential aid and protection amid war. Despite severe risks, volunteers organized relief efforts, workshops, and solidarity initiatives, ensuring aid distribution. Many sacrificed their lives in service to their communities.

The LCC is a growing coordination entity that includes representatives from 13 state ERRs, 9 local Sudanese NGOs that prioritize grassroots work and currently working on including 6 international NGOs as observers. Through the LCC, the organizations coordinate, strategize and share resources. Through the LCC, member organizations triage priorities and direct finite resources to those locations in Sudan where the needs are the most urgent while planning for the short, mid and long term humanitarian aid, peace building and development of Sudan.
